Tres Gatos is a tapas restaurant, book store, and music shop all in one. Located in Jamaica Plain in a small house, the outside is understated and to be honest, not much to look at. What the outside lacks, the inside certainly makes up for. As soon as you step inside you feel instantly relaxed, much like walking into an old friend’s pad. The atmosphere is cozy and casual and the staff is welcoming. You can linger over your meal, sip a cocktail, browse records, and grab yourself a new read all in one place. Tres Gatos is more of an experience than just another eatery.
The best part of Tres Gatos is the food. Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING is cooked to perfection. I could make recommendations, however, it would be completely unnecessary since every single meal I have had there is delicious.
This is one of my absolute favorite spots and I highly recommend it.

We are currently in NYC for a buying trip and are hanging at Capsule. If you want to see some what we are up to you can follow along on Instagram. Our username is shopstels. Below is a little preview of what we have seen in NYC.
We headed over the Opening Ceremony showroom to check out Highland USA. One of our favorite pieces is the Baja coat by Highland made from vintage blankets.
We also loved this reversible parka from Highland USA.

We LOVE Closet Visit, a blog that gives you a look into the closets of some of the most stylish women alive. Every blog entry is more lovely than the next and its very easy to get sucked into CV. I find that all of a sudden, I will realize that what I thought was a few moments of browsing was actually an hour or so. One of my favorite visits to date is with Raquel Allegra.
