On Saturday, December 3rd the lovely people from Area Four will be hanging here at the shop. If you are local you should swing by for some delish desserts and coffee. Stel’s is open from 11-7 and Area Four will be with us from 12-5.
If you have not already experienced Area Four than this is a great opportunity to grab a little bite. Either way, we encourage you to stop by their Cambridge, MA digs to taste test some of their ridiculously sumptuous menu. Area Four is a cafe/bakery/bar/oven with an emphasis on local flavors and organic, sustainable ingredients. The wooden ovens handle the food, the coffee is that of a connoisseur’s dreams and if it’s a sweet tooth you are looking to satiate; they have a whole slew of decadent options for you. At the bar you will find plenty to sip on including over 30 types of Whisky, 12 local beers on tap and Boston’s first all kegged wine program.

Here is a look into our morning at the Aiko showroom. Over a warm cup of tea, Adriana (our blogger and photographer) and I chit chatted with the lovely Aiko team and poured through the racks. Leather dresses, ruffled shorts, and delicate knits were the biggest hits. I also love Aiko’s basic tanks, tees, and jeans. I am never disappointed in the fit and their color palette is always on point.

We are beyond excited to announce that local artist, Raúl González, will be showing works here at Stel’s. Raúl was in the shop the other day installing his pieces which you can see below. If you are in the area be sure to come by and check them out as these photos just do NOT do them justice. Everything you see here is for sale. We have long scrolls as well as 74 small drawings which are displayed around a large piece depicting praying hands. Small drawings are $100 and all larger pieces are $3000.

All pieces are a part of his “Tranquilandia” collection which he describes below…
Raúl has an impressive list of accomplishments and awards, his works have been widely exhibited, and he is an active member of our community with a mission to expose Boston youth to the arts. He was sponsored by the Boston Arts Commission to create a large mural which is displayed in East Boston and this year he worked with over 125 children to create a work titled “and their families” which can be found in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
